Season Two, Episode Two- Mass Shootings & Motherhood

This week we are getting into the serious topic of mass shootings in our country. This is in light of the shooting in Oregon, which has shocked and saddened us. Paul and I are discussing whether reform is possible, and sharing our views on how we got to this place in our country. This conversation is likely to bring up strong feelings, so we hope that people will join the discussion and comment in!

The second half of this week's program is a bit different for us; Paul will be interviewing me about my experience with motherhood so far. I sincerely hope you enjoy that segment, and possibly relate to it in some ways!

Listen in, and don't forget, we are now on iTunes!!!

Episode 13- Obama's Report Card & Favorites

Lucky number 13 is here!

This week, we're rating Obama's Presidency (so far) and talking about his successes, failures, highs and lows. We discuss what our expectations were, and how he measured up. Will you agree or disagree with our points of view? Listen in and find out--we'd love to hear your report card for the President as well.

In our ladder segment, we'll be mixing it up and doing a little Q&A with one another about our favorite things. It's a lighter, funnier, more personal segment, and we hope you will enjoy and play along, telling us some of your favorite things as well!!

We hope you will enjoy another week of Honestly!!

Episode 9- Conspiracy Theories & Freewill

Wow, can you guys believe it's our 9th episode? Thanks again (and as always) for listening to our podcast. The rhythm is really becoming established now and we're so happy to be a part of your weekly routine!

This week we're talking about conspiracy theories--are they real, or just for fun? Why does the moon landing conspiracy theory make people so angry whereas others, such 9/11, don't?

Also, we are talking about whether or not freewill is real. That is a particularly existential question and one we have debated privately many times.
We're excited to hear what you guys all think of our topics. Please feel free to comment in--agree or disagree--you know we love some good banter! This week is a little lighter, nothing too heavy...but next week we're gonna flare up again, so be prepared!

Episode 7, Sexual Assault & "Wussification"

Hi everyone! Welcome to another week here at Honestly. We are putting our podcast out a day early...think of it as an Easter gift from us to you.

This week comes with a  serious trigger warning because we are talking about sexual assault. The main focus of the conversation is going to be about sexual assault on college campuses, as there have been some initiatives in the Obama Administration concerning how reported cases are handled on college campuses. But we are also talking about the subject in general.

The other topic we're discussing, thankfully less heavy than the lead topic, is the "wussification" of America. You know...things like preschool graduation and every kid getting a trophy. Do you think it's okay to give kids things they clearly didn't earn? Or is more fair?
